Satellite emergency position indicating radio beacon (EPIRB)
Product features
The jqe-103 is a highly reliable compact non-floating emergency position indicating radio beacon for lifesaving (EPIRB), a device that incorporates advanced technology to improve prime time search and rescue capabilities.
Emergency transport
Ships complying with the global maritime distress and safety system (GMDSS) requirements must carry a satellite emergency position indicating radio beacon (EPIRB).In critical cases, the EPIRB will be released and activated either manually or automatically.Once the EPIRB is activated, it will transmit special information about the ship to the rescue coordination center (RCC) via satellite over the 406MHZ band. This information will be used to initiate search and rescue (SAR) operations, while the search and rescue aircraft will monitor transmission signals at 121.5mhz to locate the EPIRB.
Space saving and robust design
The jqe-103 is a brightly colored, lightweight, waterproof and durable emergency position indicating radio beacon that can be easily mounted on the bulkhead. In addition, once the EPIRB is thrown overboard in the event of a situation, its robust hull ensures that it remains intact when it is thrown to the surface from a height of up to 20 meters.
Release of stents
Take security measures to prevent transmission of wrong signals. The self-deployer is automatically activated when the beacon surfaces. In the event of a shipwreck, the beacon can also be manually activated by a simple switch operation. The JRC standard also includes an automatic release bracket, which is unique to JRC.
Low maintenance and high durability
This reliable satellite emergency position indicating radio beacon (EPIRB) is a significant advance in security, with a service life of 7-10 years and is suitable for all kinds of adverse weather conditions. The jqe-103’s improved battery life allows it to be replaced without replacement for up to five years.JRC’s advanced water pressure sensors can be replaced for up to two years.
